Story No. 1 A day off work Bill Walker works for an import-export company. Last Wednesday morning Bill rang his office at nine o’clock. His boss, Mr. Thompson, answered the phone. Mr. Thompson : Hello, Thompson here ... Bill : Hello. This Bill Walker. Mr. Thompson : Oh, hello, Bill. Bill : I’m afraid I can’t come to work today, Mr. Thompson. Mr. Thompson : Oh, what’s the problem? Bill : I’ve got a very sore throat. Mr. Thompson : Yes, you sound ill on the phone. Bill : Yes, I’ll stay in bed today, but I’ll be able to come tomorrow. Funny Stories (Part 1)

Story no. 1 Mrs. Jones was waiting for an important telephone call, but she had no bread in the house, mso she left the baby at home and said to his five-year-old brother, ‘I am going to the shops, Jimmy, and I will be back in a few minutes.’ While she was out, the telephone rang, and Jimmy answered. ‘Hullo.’ Said a man, ‘is your mother there?’ ‘No,’ answered Jimmy.  ‘Well, when she comes back, say to her, “Mr Baker telephoned”.’ ‘What?’ ‘Mr. Baker. Funny Stories (Part 2)

Story No. 1  A young boy was playing with a ball in the street. He kicked it too hard, and it broke the window of a house and fell inside. A lady came to the window with the ball and shouted at the young boy, so he run away, but he stll wanted his ball back. A few minutes later he returned and knocked at the door of the house, and when the lady answered it, he said, “My father’s going to come and fix your window very soon.” After a few more minutes a man came to the door with tools in his hand, so the lady let the boy take his ball away.
